The QRPBuilder baluns are used in matching a balanced antenna, eg. 1/2 wave dipole to your coaxial feed line which is unbalanced. This eliminates feedline radiation that can cause problems such as  inducing radiation in nearby objects, like house wiring resulting in feedline power loss and TVI. We offer either 1:1 or 4:1 compact baluns for your needs that are rated to 20 watts for portable operations. They both have pushbutton connections for the antenna wires and a female BNC connecting to your feedline. A 1/4″ dia. hole is provided for a line to hoist the assembly. Assembled weight is 1.3oz. or 36gm. They are easy to build. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the most difficult, this is rated at 1, and can be built in less than an hour.
